How it works & FAQ

New to prediction markets? Here's everything you need to start trading on Predikt.
How do prediction markets work?
Each market is a YES/NO question. Buying YES shares profits if the event happens; NO shares profit if it doesn't. Prices sit between 1¢ and 99¢ and act like the implied probability of the outcome.
What are credits?
Credits are play money used to place bets. 1 credit equals $1 of notional value. New accounts start with a balance, and you can top up more. Credits are non-withdrawable and have no cash value.
Can I cash out before a market resolves?
Yes. Open a position from your portfolio and tap Sell to close it at the current market price — locking in profit or cutting a loss early.
How are markets resolved?
Every market lists a resolution rule and sources. When the event concludes, the market is settled to YES or NO and winning shares pay out automatically. Some markets resolve automatically; others are reviewed by an admin.
What fees does Predikt charge?
Predikt takes a small house fee on net winnings (shown on the Fees page). There is no fee to place a bet or to top up credits.
What are Turbo markets?
Turbo markets are ultra-short crypto price bets — will BTC, ETH or SOL be up or down over the next 1, 5, 10 minutes or an hour? They settle automatically against live exchange prices.
Is this real-money gambling?
No. Predikt uses play credits only, with no real-money wagering and no withdrawals. You must be 18+ to use it.
